During the third quarter of 2024, the communication app landscape in Tunisia showcased dynamic trends across the top five applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, which spiked to approximately 89K in mid-August before tapering to around 49K by the end of September. Its weekly active users consistently hovered around 6.5M, with a slight upward trend towards the end of the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger, published by WhatsApp LLC, experienced an increase in weekly downloads, peaking at nearly 72K by mid-August. Active users remained relatively stable, closing the quarter with about 2.3M users.

Truecaller: AI Call Blocker demonstrated a steady rise in weekly downloads, achieving a high of 40K in mid-September. Revenue for this app also saw an increase, reaching around $291 in the same period. The app maintained a robust user base, with active users climbing to approximately 2.4M by the end of the quarter.

Snapchat from Snap Inc. recorded a peak in weekly downloads at about 36K in early August. Despite a drop in active users to 1.4M in late August, the app managed to recover, closing the quarter with approximately 1.5M active users. Revenue figures remained modest, peaking at $39 in late July.

Lastly, Telegram saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, culminating in a peak of about 29K at the end of September. The app's revenue rose steadily, reaching up to $176 in late September. Active users showed a slight increase, ending the quarter with nearly 480K users.
